A fully self-contained, detached one-bedroom cottage in the grounds of our family home. You have your own front door, bedroom, en suite shower room, kitchen and living room, and you don't share any indoor space with us. We live in the main house, with privacy between the two dwellings. Light, airy, characterful and cosy. Would suit a professional, air cadet or student.

The space
- Large double bedroom with a comfy Hypnos bed, large desk and chair, and three generous built-in wardrobes
- Light, airy bedroom with a window and two Velux roof windows, for sunshine by day and stargazing at night, plus views over the orchard
- En suite shower room for your sole use, with shower, WC, basin and airing cupboard storage
- Fully equipped kitchen: electric fan oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, 7kg washer/dryer and a full-size fridge/freezer
- Living room with central heating and a log-effect electric fire
- Bright, well-kept and neutrally decorated throughout
- Shared use of the garden, with apples, raspberries and rhubarb to enjoy in season
- Free on-street parking nearby, with no permits or time limits

My art studio has its own separate entrance, so your cottage stays private. Our two friendly dogs and cat live in our main house and not allowed in to the cottage. Sorry, no pets.

Short lets are priced higher to allow for flexibility. Flexible start dates.

WiFi, Virgin TV, TV licence, council tax, water.

Extra: Gas and electricity are metered separately and charged monthly at cost. Previous bills can be seen, and the provider/tariff is the same as the main family house.

Optional housekeeping: weekly or fortnightly at £15 per hour, 2 hour minimum per visit.

Deposit: one month's rent.
