Double room with private bathroom

I’m offering a bright, warm and comfortable furnished room on the top floor of my 18th-century house in Bideford. You would have the entire floor to yourself, including exclusive use of the bathroom next to your room, giving you the feel of an ensuite.

The room is fully furnished and has its own TV. Bedding and towels can be provided.

**The house**

The house dates back to 1750 and is full of characters. There are four bedrooms spread over three floors, but I only rent out one room, so it’s a relaxed home rather than a busy house share.

You’re welcome to use the well-equipped kitchen, including the pots, pans and utensils. You’ll also have your own kitchen cupboard and dedicated space in the fridge and freezer.

**Location and parking**

Bideford is a lovely market town, and the house is within walking distance of the town centre. There is regulated parking directly outside, which is free for one hour and between 6 pm and 8 am. There is also free street parking on surrounding roads and a nearby car park offering free overnight parking.

North Devon is ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, with beautiful beaches and countryside close by. Exeter is around an hour and a half away.

**A little about me**

I’m a teacher and live here with my three friendly cats. My grown-up children visit occasionally, although I usually travel to see them. My eldest lives in France and my youngest is at university in Manchester.

I work during the day and often have work to do in the evenings, so the house is generally quiet. I’m happy to have a chat and share the occasional conversation, but I also respect people’s privacy. I sometimes have friends over at weekends.

This is an inclusive home, and I welcome people from all backgrounds.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching films and walking.

**Who I’m looking for**

A professional, student or anyone looking for a comfortable home for a short or medium-term stay would be ideal. I’m particularly interested in someone looking for around six to nine months.
