Large double room for 1 lodger in family home

Hello!!
Myself (Becky), my 12 year old daughter, Alison our lodger, Indi the standard poodle, and 2 friendly cats are looking for a 2nd lodger to join our family home. We have one furnished, large, double room available form the around the second week in July.

The room currently has a double bed with storage space underneath, wardrobe, chest of draws, and desk with a chair, and is nice and spacious with room for yoga practice as well

The new lodger will also have use of the shared spaces: kitchen, music room/lounge area courtyard garden, main bathroom and downstairs toilet. The middle floor bathroom is very spacious and has a bath and shower and is used predominantly by the lodgers. The house has a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, and is centarally heated. I am a big believer and keeping the place warm and damp free in the winter for the benefit of everyones health and comfort.

We have a wonderful mews with roses, clematis, wisteria, grape vines, lots of birds and gorgeous plants everywhere and the best neighbours in the world! At one end we have a courtyard which is very peaceful and perfect for chilling out in the summer. We are currently growing a few veggies as well.

Along side my local work, I am an artist. I have interests in nature, herbalism, alternative healing, meditation, literature, climbing, running, animals and generally trying to find ways of nurturing the world around us :). We have been welcoming lodgers into our home for over 4 years now, with great success, and have really enjoyed, making friends and getting to know different kinds of people who have come to live here.

We are looking for a lodger who is happy to live in a quiet, chilled, family environment. We like to be social, but also value our own space, so lodgers who are up for the same sort of balance is great, but very happy to welcome those who prefer their own company as well. Luckily, the house is very spacious, with large rooms throughout and built over 3 floors, so it easy to find solitude in a very un cramped environment. My daughter and I spend some of the week living at my partners place, so we are not always around. We value kindness, respect and clear, friendly communication.

We are looking for someone who is happy to muck in with a few shared household chores, like keeping communal areas clean and tidy and doing the recycling, however we do have a cleaner once a week to do a deep clean of communal areas. This is included in the price. This has been a wonderful support to us. It's just great to know that some of the bases are always covered, freeing everyone up to live a bit more easily.
