We have a choice of two Beautiful en-suite Bedrooms available in our Family Home for suitable Lodgers.
Our home is of a Victorian style, but actually built in 1906, semi detached house with a large open driveway and large rear garden. The property looks over St Matthews Field (a large open Park with some beautiful mature trees) in the Cockington area.
The house itself is a large 3 bedroom house; however. the roof has recently been converted into a self contained flat with two en-suite bedrooms, a lounge/dinning area and kitchen in the Attic. This area can be connected to the main house but has its own separate entrance via two flights of stairs. The interconnecting doors can be locked when we have lodgers in residence.
The accommodation is finished to a high standard with underfloor heating throughout, and has its own entry doorbell/camera.
One room is high and spacious and overlooks the rear garden with a stone clad en-suite shower room and toilet.
The other room is of a similar size but is build more into the roof space giving it immense character. The en-suite shower room/toilet, also stone clad, goes right back to the gable end which provides a great feature making the bathroom very large and offering plenty of storage space if required. The room has feature lighting and two Velux windows offering plenty of natural light, ventilation and views towards the harbour.
The shared facilities are shared between just the occupants of the two attic rooms and consist of:
A lounge built into the eaves with a Velux window offering plenty of light and ventilation. Behind the two seater soft leather couch is an open feature area beautifully lit, which can be used for storage if required.
The corridor that connects the two roof sections is wide and airy and accommodates a TV for the lounge, a dining table and a chest of drawers. There is a large opening window to the side which provides lots of natural light.
Moving down a couple of stairs (carpeted as runners - as are the main access stairs) there is a small landing with the WiFi extender and door bell with nightlight.
Off of the landing is a well equipped kitchen with a Velux window providing natural light and ventilation. It has plenty of storage cupboards and is fully equipped with high quality crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, kitchen implements, Smeg Fridge Freezer, gas hob, electric oven, Miele washing machine. Miele condensing tumble dryer and a Miele dishwasher.
The entrance is under the porch which forms part of the garage roof through a high security door with a camera doorbell and up two flights of stairs and an intermediate landing with a window. Both flights are carpeted with runners.
We are looking for single professional people; however, occasional stop overs by boyfriends/girlfriends is fine.
I am afraid we cannot accept pets or smokers so as to maintain the integrity of our home.
All bills and internet are include.
Rooms offered on a Lodger agreement basis for £700 each per calendar month .

We are a professional couple (doctor and an engineer) and often work away from home, but back most weekends. We both sail and also have a motorboat in Torquay harbour which are our passions along with traveling and exploring.
