Double room available from 16th October in a furnished three-bedroom house, sharing with just one other person (me), so it’s a much quieter setup than a typical house share.

The room is furnished with a double bed and mattress, with space for additional furniture/storage. You’ll have full use of the house, including the shared kitchen/dining area, bathroom and small back garden.

Rent is £650 per month including bills.

There’s also the option of having the basement as your own private lounge/chill-out/workspace for a small additional amount each month. It’s a really useful large extra space if you work from home, want your own living room or just like having somewhere separate from your bedroom to relax. It’s approx 32sq metres so a big space

The house is nicely furnished and I’m quite into interiors, so I’ve tried to make it feel like a proper home. I’m currently doing some redecorating and improvements, so there are still a few areas being finished.

I’m 40 and work full-time in higher education. I’m a non-smoker and don’t drink, and at home I’m generally pretty quiet, chilled and easy-going. I like going out and will usually have one night out at the weekend, but I’m definitely not someone who wants a busy or noisy house all the time. I’m really into interiors and making the house feel nice, and I’m quite house-proud, clean and tidy without being obsessive about it. I’m sociable and happy to have a chat or hang out, but I also really value having my own space and would be respectful of yours too. Ideally I’d like the house to feel relaxed and comfortable for both of us rather than like a typical shared house.

I’m looking for someone friendly, respectful, clean and easy-going who wants somewhere they can actually feel at home rather than just renting a room.
