This arrangement perfectly suits a professional who commutes to West Dorset for work, maintains a permanent home elsewhere, and wants a peaceful, high-quality midweek bolt-hole rather than a full relocation.

The cottage has been sympathetically renovated over the last two years, combining historic character with modern comforts. The space is light-filled, cosy, and kept clean and uncluttered.
* The Bedroom: A small but comfortable, fully furnished double room designed as a calm, practical base. It is east-facing with original sash windows, bringing in a lovely amount of morning light. The room features a dedicated desk/workspace, a bookshelf, and a small clothes rail. Note: You are welcome to leave your belongings neatly stored in the room over weekends.

* The Resident Dog: I live with a much-loved, medium-sized, 7-year-old affectionate mutt. Because of my work travel, he is sometimes away with me, but you must genuinely love dogs and feel entirely comfortable sharing a home with one when we are both back.
* Atmosphere: I am naturally tidy and house-proud, and I am looking for someone who similarly appreciates a clean, calm, and well-kept environment. This is very much a peaceful retreat rather than a busy social house.
