A comfortable single room is available in a quiet, welcoming home close to the River Tyne in Haddington.

The house is shared with the owner, who is a writer, and a little dog with a very big character. So it would suit someone who enjoys a peaceful, friendly home and is comfortable around dogs.

You would have use of the shared sitting/dining room and kitchen, as well as a small garden with mature pear and plum trees; a lovely spot to sit outside when the Scottish weather cooperates!

Haddington is an attractive and lively market town, approximately 18 miles from Edinburgh. The X7 bus takes around 40 minutes to reach the city centre, making the house suitable for someone who works or studies in Edinburgh but would prefer to live in the countryside.

The town has an excellent selection of independent cafés, restaurants, pubs, a delicatessen, bakery, bookshop and makerspace. There are plenty of green spaces and playing fields, with the sports centre a ten-minute walk from the house.

Haddington has a thriving cultural scene, with live music throughout the year and a varied programme of concerts, comedy and other events at the Corn Exchange. The town’s beautiful walled garden and golf course are nearby, and the wonderful beaches of East Lothian are only 15 minutes away by car.
