Communal-style living, small double £380 pcm

We are looking for a lovely new housemate to temporarily share our home in lovely green Bevendean on the foothills of the Downs. We like to live by an community/ communal-living philosophy and create a space which feels like a shared home rather than a house share, and is more environmentally sustainable. Come round to meet us for a cup of tea and a chat!

We are looking for someone until mid-November, with the possibility of staying on longer.

The Community
• Three other people their 30s
• We buy food in bulk from Infinity and get an organic veg box delivered weekly collectively
• Weekly cooking rota. This means you only have to cook one day a week essentially, and you'll probably find your food bills significantly reduce.
• We cook vegan meals but most of us are veggie or even meat eaters outside the house
• Share the care of the garden (which has a veg plot) and living spaces
• Generally winding down from 10pm on a weekday
• Sociable environment


The room:
• small double room £380pcm (bills not included)
• Double glazed windows, looks out onto the Downs
• Room comes with built in wardorbe, drawers and double futon bed.
• Available from late August

The House:
• 4 bedrooms, living room, dining room, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets
• Large attic storage which you are free to use
• Large wooden outhouse/shed
• 15 minute cycle into town and regular buses 1 minute from the door
• Big garden with lawn, patio and vegetables


You:
• Community minded and up for joining in with shared care of house and garden
• Cat friendly
• Able to pay one months rent up front
• Sense of humour and easy going
• Respectful and warm-hearted
• Non-smoker

In terms of accessibility we have five steps to the front door and the bedroom is on the first floor. We aim to be a LGBTQIA+ and PoC friendly space.
