A furnished room is in a calm, friendly home in Roundhill. This would suit someone who enjoys being part of a home rather than simply renting a room as a transaction.

The house has a quiet, welcoming and community-minded and awareness of impact of capitalism on resilience and choices . It isn't a party house, but it is a home where people might share a meal, have a garden BBQ with friends, watch a film together, chat over a cup of tea. There is plenty of space for 2 people to live here - plus a garden, laundry room, and attic space for guests.

I have two siblings who will often visit the property with their young children so a future house mate needs to be comfortable with my family coming over on an impromptu visit.

The neighbourhood is family-oriented and peaceful with many working from home, with Aldi, the Open Market, Fiveways cafés and independent shops all within easy walking distance. London Road Station is around 7 minutes away on foot, with connections to Brighton, Gatwick and London.

About me:

I'm a live-in landlord in my mid-40s. I'm neurodivergent and enjoy cooking, nature, music, community, and spending time outdoors. The house is LGBTQIA+ friendly, neurodivergent-friendly and disability-positive & social justice minded .

Please note I am currently in recovery from burnout. I am currently using the living room as a place that supports my recovery. I will aim to make this space as welcoming as possible to share but i will often be occupying the space in the day.

It is important to be that the house is place of body positivity as i am apart of a sauna community.

I use fragrance-free laundry products, keep lighting relatively soft throughout the house, and aim to create a comfortable environment where people can relax and feel at home.

• No full-time working from home, No full-time Students

• Someone with a dog will be prioritised, cats will be considered

• I am a meat eater and follow two medically required diets, so I am unable to provide separate kitchen spaces, cookware or food preparation areas for different dietary requirements

• This is a household where communication matters.
