Description
Hi everyone :)
I'm looking for a housemate to take over a room in a two-bedroom apartment, a stone's throw away from the main train station (2 minutes on foot) and Seven Dials (a vibrant areas with lots of cafes, grocery shops and everything you may need).
I will be moving out likely around September / October-time, so I'm looking for someone who is either looking for something short term, or else is happy to bring someone else in after that time. My exact moving date is TBC.
There are 2 bus stops right in front of the flat with buses (including number 7 and 27) that literally go to all parts of the city.
3 minutes from the nearest Coop, cafes, health shops, pharmacy and a great selection of restaurants (on foot)
3 minutes away from the main train station (on foot)
6 minutes away from the walk-in health centre (on foot)
With regard to the room (and by extension, the flat), it's a decently sized double bedroom (3.10m x 2.90m) that receives plenty of natural light. The flat's on the first floor and it's already furnished (minus the bedroom, of course), but of course, you're welcome to help me with decorating it further.
A bit about me and what I'm looking for in a housemate
I'm a 29-year-old musician from Malta chasing the music dream with my band – while also putting the hours in as a music journalist with an international guitar magazine. I mostly work from home, but then I'm away for longer stretches of time, depending on the month! For e. g. I'll be away for the whole month of October.
I consider myself to be pretty clean and respectful of other people and cultures... always up for a coffee, a good discussion about life and the most random topics, an arthouse film and, well, a gig (of course). I love to chat but I also like to chill / create art in my room most of the time. I've been living in the flat for the past four years (and in Brighton for the past seven), and, honestly, the location is EVERYTHING.
I'm looking for someone who's chill and, ideally, comes from a creative background. Someone who doesn't work from home would be ideal so we can also give each other space. Ideally, someone who's open to different cultures and neurodivergent individuals.
Being open to sharing cleaning duties and communicating well is a must. Basically, I'm looking for someone with a good vibe and aura, and someone who's open to turning the flat into a home :)
Open to female-identifying/NB/queer male-identifying individuals.
Money 'n stuff
The least fun part... Rent is £700 per month and bills are around £180-200. The deposit amount needs to be confirmed and it's council tax band B.
There's a £50 charge for the references, Right To Rent and the new Tenancy Agreement. It will then be a rolling contract as per The Renters Rights Act.
For the new tenant, the agency will need a passport and Right To Rent share codes if you are from overseas.
Earnings need to be £22,000 or higher, no adverse credit.
I'm hoping to find someone pretty soon – so don't hesitate to hit me up :) Looking forward to meeting you x
