Description
Hello!
My housemate and I are looking for a third lovely human being to help make our house a home. We live in a three-bed flat just off Western Road, a two-minute walk from the seafront so great for catching those sunsets and starling murmurations.
It’s a crazy ground-floor flat with a massive open-plan basement living room / kitchen that conveniently comes with a super handy dishwasher (among all the other stuff). We have a pretty unique communal courtyard that we share with two lovely neighbours, and have let overgrow into an urban jungle situation with lemon balm and other fun herbs springing up everywhere.
The room itself is not massive but you can fit a double bed in it easily, even though the old picture has a single. There should be enough room for a desk and a wardrobe or chest of drawers too. If you have lots of stuff that won’t fit in the room, there’s plenty of space downstairs for communal storage, like the brick arches (see photos).
Ideally we’re looking for someone that wants to live communally and is social and easy-going, and importantly also appreciates peace and quiet. We’d like someone who is clean & tidy, particularly when it comes to the kitchen, and someone who is happy to help keep our home a cozy and pleasant space.
Outside of the home, we like going to gigs, being in nature, running, hiking, writing, yoga, art, and the pub every now and then. Fans of 60s/70s rock and folky stuff / Laurel Canyon scene particularly welcome.
On a personal level, we’d really love to live with someone who actively wants to make this world a better place, is conscious of humankind’s impact on the planet and is willing to help reduce our household’s role in it. You don’t necessarily have to be politically active, but we’d get on best with someone who is left-leaning, conscious of the broken capitalist system we live in, and also yearns for a free Palestine x
If you feel like this might be the place for you, give us a shout! x
