Hi,

We are looking for a new housemate. It's a nice homely house on a quiet street in a pretty nice area. We are chilled and friendly but also like to give people their own space to live and do their own thing. Kat's a researcher working at the uni and I'm a self employed Landscaper and starting and adventure business. Outside of work we like to keep busy with gym/ Yoga/ Cooking/ Reading and all the usual stuff. We are straightforward, respectful people, we are pretty tidy and like to keep the place clean. Like to have a good laugh but during the week we tend to be in bed by about 10/ 10:30ish as both have early starts.

The house itself is one of those typical solidly built old post war council houses. As such it has a nice big front and back garden including several patio areas/ sheds/ workshops that I've built. Just finished a nature pond, which has taken me a month of Sunday's. It’s also freshly painted and redecorated as of Mar 2024.
The main house I've done it up quite a bit since moving in as it needed modernising so put in a new modern bathroom with mains pressure water/ new boiler/new flooring n' carpets/ log burner and other nice features etc.

Decoration wise it's got a bit of a hippy/ arty vibe going on now, minus the incense sticks. We're not proper card carrying hippies. We just like to plant trees in our spare time for our charity and Kat's a vegetarian. .

The house has all the modern conveniences that money can buy; Dishwasher, washing m/c, tumble dryer, microwave oven, an actual oven NEW, gas hobs X4, tv ( Superfast Broadband) , double glazing, log burner, radio, combi boiler, solar power, bath, shower and we have multiple sinks and toilets. Any yes the house bills are included in the price, it's an all inclusive deal of a lifetime.

The room itself is upstairs, it's a spacious doubleroom with a great view, it has a beautiful view of the sunset over downs. The main bathroom is next door. The room is currently furnished with a chest of draws, a desk and chair and a fairly new double bed. It is freshly painted and redecorated after last person to occupy the room in Jan 2024. :-)

Ideally looking for a professional, low maintenance type, no preference of male/ female. Hopefully that's you and you've not wasted your time getting down this far...

We are up in Hollingbury, Ditchling Rd side which has great access into central Brighton by bus/ bike or car and also onto the main Rd coastal links (A27) and London (A23). Good access to the Uni/ Amex stadium over the hill. The nearest train station is Preston Park, 10 mins by car. For shops, there is the huge 24 hour ASDA shopping complex about 2 min drive or 10 min walk. Also there is a more local Sainsbury's Express and a post office nearer by for the basics.
