We have a lovely, spacious and peaceful super king loft room available in our family home in the heart of central Hove, just a few minutes' walk from the sea.

One of the nicest things about the room is that you have the entire top floor to yourself, with a beautiful big bedroom, your own private bathroom and a separate sitting area where you can curl up with a book, watch a film or simply enjoy the cracking sunset views. It's a really lovely space to retreat to at the end of the day, with plenty of room to make yourself at home.

The space is currently being enjoyed by guests through Airbnb, where I'm delighted to have received **5-star ratings across every category**. We're happy to welcome short-term or long-term lodgers, so whether you're looking for somewhere to settle or simply a lovely place to call home for a little while, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll also be welcome to use our shared kitchen and garden.

Location-wise, we're rather spoilt! The beach is just four minutes away, and we're surrounded by lovely independent cafés, shops, pubs and everything else that makes Hove such a wonderful place to live. Hove station is nearby, and there are excellent bus links across Brighton & Hove and beyond.

A little about us...

You'll be sharing our home with me (Em, 47), my daughter (14), my son (10), who are with me around half the time, and Harry, our very funny, affectionate and slightly ridiculous lap cat, who considers himself a rather important member of the household!

We're a friendly, easy-going family who enjoy spending time together, but we also really value our home as a peaceful place to relax and recharge.

I love sea swimming, country walks, open mic nights and the occasional trip to the pub. I work at a local Montessori school and also run my own natural skincare business, Olive & Joyce, which keeps me happily busy!

Over the years, we've welcomed some wonderful long-term lodgers and English language students from all over the world, many of whom have become friends and stayed in touch long after leaving.

We'd love to welcome someone who feels comfortable and at home here, rather than simply renting a room. There's always the opportunity for a chat over a cup of tea, or to join us for a film, but equally, we completely understand that everyone needs their own space, independence and quiet time. With the entire top floor to yourself, you really do have the best of both worlds.

Just a few little house notes:

- We're a vegan/vegetarian household, so we'd love someone who's happy to keep our shared kitchen meat-free.
- Couples are very welcome, with an additional £100 per month towards household bills.
- All household bills are included.
- Sorry, no additional pets, as Harry has already claimed the title of household pet!
- Both short-term and long-term stays are welcome.

More than anything, we'd love to find someone kind, considerate and easy-going who enjoys a relaxed, happy home.
