Hey, I'm Josh! I'm looking to fill 2 large double rooms in my flat-share located a 2-min walk up the street from Hove Lawns and the beach. :)
You'll be replacing my current flatmates who are both sadly moving out of the city together, as one of them is dealing with a chronic health condition and needs support. While I've put the availability date as Dec 2nd, it's flexible as the rooms will be vacant sooner (and so I can find the right people!).
LOCATION:
Located on Second Avenue, it's in an amazing spot with lots of great restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops nearby (inc. a big Tesco!).
It's also a 2-min walk to the sea, 12-min walk to Hove Station for transport to London or elsewhere, and a 25-min walk into the centre of Brighton. The 1, 2, 5, 5A, 5B, 6, 46, and 49 buses all stop just around the corner.
Parking zone N (no waiting list).
FLAT:
The 3-bed flat is located on the first-floor of a semi-detached, Grade II listed building. It has high ceilings, a shared bathroom, big living room, and a kitchen with a small enclosed roof terrace.
It's got direct street access and is located above a coffee shop, so would suit people who don't mind noise from below or have a 9-5 job like me. :)
The flat is also unfurnished (but comes with white goods), so perfect for people who are moving with furniture or would like to help 'build the vibe' in the shared spaces (I'm currently buying new art, plants, etc.).
Shared between 3, bills + council tax (Band B) = £100-ish extra a month.
A lettings agency manages the property and are quick to respond to questions. The landlord also lives nearby and is also very helpful and responsive - we have a good relationship.
ROOMS:
The 2 available double rooms are spacious and have built-in storage and roller blinds. These come unfurnished.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a 25-year-old man working in the media industry. I love bouldering (I'm part of an LGBTQ+ climbing group), doing the weekly Parkrun, playing video and board games, watching films, and going to live gigs.
I'm sociable and would love to live with people who are happy to hang out, but also have their own things going on.
I'm also LGBTQ+, so being LGBTQ+-friendly is a must.
EXTRAS:
The flat can only be accessed by stairs (one flight after entering the front door).
You need to be able to provide references and a UK guarantor (if required) for the lettings agency.
