Animal lover wanted in lovely flat!

A large, light-filled double room is available from January in our peaceful flat, only ten minutes up the road from Kemptown and close to Queen’s Park. The room offers generous built-in wardrobes and looks out onto a beautiful shared green that backs directly onto quiet woodland. It’s a truly calming space with leafy views – and you’ll be sharing the flat with a great housemate, Nick.

The flat has a cosy, relaxed vibe – perfect for someone who enjoys a gentle, grounded energy at home but is also up for the occasional movie or games night. You’ll have access to a spacious shared living room, a well-equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher), and a cute balcony overlooking the green. We also have a storage area for extra belongings, and you can apply for a resident’s parking permit if needed.

Now for the heart of the home: this flat comes with a truly awesome cat.

Krampuss (yes, that’s really her name!) is a gorgeous, affectionate cat who loves cuddles and will happily curl up beside you for company. She’s sweet-natured, gentle, and very, very funny. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cat cuddles and finds comfort in having an animal around.

While I’m away on a contract abroad, you would need to help take care of Krampuss, with Nick also helping out regularly. The tenancy is either a 9 month agreement or it can be extended to a year if everyone is happy.

The responsibilities are pretty low key: feeding her, giving her cuddles, brushing her occasionally, and taking her to the vet if she gets poorly (pretty rare). I’ll cover all her expenses, including food and vet care of course. Nick, your new housemate, absolutely loves Krampuss too and often helps with her care – though he’s sometimes away for acting work. When he’s around, he’ll share the day-to-day bits, but she is a cat that needs love and cuddles pretty regularly. For longer holidays (over two weeks), Nick always steps in fully, and we also have a lovely neighbour who can pop in to feed her. If both of you are away for more than a week, I’ll arrange and cover the cost of a professional cat sitter.

This home is ideal for someone who values a calm, warm atmosphere and would love to share it with both a friendly housemate and a low-maintenance, affectionate cat. It’s more than just a room – it’s a little sanctuary with built-in companionship.
