Large Room Cottage with view, Ovingdean, Brighton

The main benefits of living in Ovingdean is it`s rural setting, yes you actually have sheep and cows on your front door and a beach at the end of the road. It truly is like living in paradise for some. This and all within a short bus ride to Brighton. It also has free parking, saving you a fortune in parking fees.

Who it wont suit: Unless you have flexible work conditions, have a car, can walk to the seafront, can use a bike to get to the seafront, (Brighton operates a cheap bike service) there are three buses in the morning 6.45, 7.15, 8.06, before the time table goes hourly starting from 9.27.
Who it will suit: People who want to live in the countryside, and have transport.

A typical day in this house is that we get in and perhaps have a drink in the garden, then go off and make dinner. At winter this might be the conservatory, the front garden is a general space which overlooks the downs and is included in the let, the conservatory is not. This is a room to let as apposed to a house share, as we have drinks or get together most evenings and there is a village bar across the road so far this has not been too much of a problem.

Bedroom: The bedroom is very large, with good quality furniture, a victorian chest of draws, a victorian shelf and mirror unit, an arm chair, and a bed with plenty of storage below. I have also thrown in a TV if wanted. It is all newley decorated with a new carpet. It was my spare room, and is decorated such.

The kitchen: The kitchen has been recently refurbished and has all modcoms including a fridge, deep freeze, washing machine, toaster etc. There is a fridge and microwave in your own room as well.
The bathroom: Has a roll top bath with a shower to use in the bath.
There is a reasonably well kept garden with a view of the church along side country side views.

There is a table in the garden, for everyone to use to meetup and chat in the evenings. We are a pretty friendly house.

It is an easy walk to the beach. My current lodger has been there for years. We are just looking for some one easy going, and quiet when everyone is trying to sleep, being sociable would be a bonus, but not essential. (We both work at different times).

Location: Attractive rural location 7 mins by bus to centre, 10 mins walk to beach, Near Rottingdean and Mariner.
Buses: 2 services within 5 min walk, multiple services 10 mins walk.
Parking: Free parking.
Wifi: Yes available.
Pets allowed: No, unless it is a gold fish.

Although I have no specific preference on gender, I have found that the location suits male lodgers more.
