Description
We are looking for a 3rd member of our friendly household. We are two professionals (28F, 28M) living in a lovely large terraced house near Preston Park Station. Our 3rd housemate sadly has to return to her home country, so we are looking to fill her bedroom.
🛏 The Room
* Bright and spacious double bedroom on the 2nd floor.
* Lovely view and plenty of storage space.
* Comes fully furnished with:
* New double bed & mattress (<2yrs)
* Bedside table
* Built-in wardrobe
Perfect if you want a calm, comfortable room you can really make your own.
🏡 The House
Spacious, recently refurbished terraced house with:
* 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (no morning queue!).
* Waterfall shower and a bath with jets.
* Large, open communal space downstairs.
* Spacious kitchen with air fryer, microwave, food processor, everything you could need to prepare your meals.
* Lovely garden with vegetable patch – great for coffee, reading, or a glass of wine in summer.
* On-street parking (permit needed, around £160 per year).
* Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher – very handy for day-to-day life.
* We both work from home, so the space is generally calm during the day.
* Shared living areas kept tidy, cosy and comfortable.
🚉 Location & Transport
* 10 minutes’ walk from Preston Park station.
* Sainsbury’s is also around 10 minutes’ walk away.
* 5B bus goes straight into town, making it easy to get around.

* 2 professionals, both 28.
* I (28M) am the live-in landlord and work as an engineer, and Sophia (28F) works in tech.
* Both LGBT, and we’re very intentional about keeping our home a safe, inclusive space.
* Friendly and sociable – we enjoy chatting, cooking, playing board games, sports or the odd drink together. Although we want to keep this dynamic with our newest member, there is no pressure to socialise beyond the basics if that’s what you prefer!
* Not big party people – this is more of a chilled, homely vibe than a party house. However we do host a legendary New Year's eve party and the occasional BBQ or board game evenings.
* Tidy and considerate with shared spaces.
🌈 What We’re Looking For
Someone who is:
* Queer or queer-friendly – you must be genuinely comfortable in an LGBT household.
* Respectful, kind and considerate.
* Happy to play their part with cleaning, rotas, and looking after shared spaces.
* Up for a bit of light socialising, but no pressure to constantly hang out or “perform” socially – just the basics: friendly, communicative, and respectful.
You don’t need to be an extrovert or “on” all the time. We really respect alone time and personal space.
📅 Practical Stuff

* Rent: £700 per month.
* Bills: approx. £150 per month.
* Council Tax: Band D.
* Move-in date: From January 5th.
* Contract length: Initial 6 months contract with the possibility to extend.
