Description
The property has stunning views of the River Tay and beautiful sunsets, a gorgeous lounge with log burning stove, large kitchen and good-sized garden. There is plenty of storage for bikes or other sports equipment and ample parking nearby. Ideally located for St Andrews (11 miles), Dundee (3 miles) with regular buses a short walk from the house.
Newport on Tay is charming and a much sought-after location to live. It is quiet with an award-winning high street including an artisan baker, two small supermarkets, post office, cafes, restaurants, takeaways, hairdressers, a community centre, a church, two yoga studios and two art galleries. There is also a friendly water sports hub, arts centre and tennis club. Football training is at the neighbouring sports centre as are other sports you can get involved in.
I love to cook so the kitchen will be well equipped: dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, gas hob, microwave and plenty of cookware and utensils. The bathroom has electric shower over the bath.
I am a teacher which means during term time I am out a lot. I love having company but also need quiet times and early nights. I’m looking for a lodger who I get on with well and who is clean and tidy, at least in the shared spaces. We don’t smoke/vape indoors or do drugs.
I’m chilled and have lived with a wide variety of people. I like music (playing trad Scottish and going to small gigs), cycling, sailing, walking, reading, DIY, travel, christianity (though lived with people with most beliefs), international development.
The most important thing for me is finding the right person, and I would prefer someone in their final year of UG, or further along in PG studies, or a professional. Move-in etc is all flexible so get in touch if you feel this is right for you.
Cost: £550/month + bills (you’d pay £66-100) + council tax if you are liable.
