Room in Family home

We have a lovely double room (approx. 3m x 4m) on the top floor of our 5 bedroom house in Park Farm Thornbury.

Single £650 PCM
Food Plus £150 per person PCM (See below for information)

The room has double bed with memory foam mattress (For the best sleep ever!), the bathroom is shared with other lodger (Ukrainian) in the room opposite and It also has a TV.

We are 48 but we enjoy life, laugh, dance and ensure we have fun at least at the weekends but try to be happy and grateful ever day.

We also have 2 children aged 8 and 10 We are used to having other people living with us, we previously had an au pair and her daughter live with us. We are a family who enjoy welcoming others into our family, my wife is Czech and our children are being brought up bilingual, so we are open to any cultures as we know this expands everyone's experience.

We have another lodger who is Ukrainian and is 28, who is a lovely person.

We are very social family my wife organises the ladies and I organise the lads evenings out, BBQ's, dinner, bowling, pub crawls every couple months (there is a mix of ages from 20's to 60's). We also have families and friends over for dinner a couple times a month, anyone that shares our home would also be welcome to share in these events, although, also no pressure if they prefer not to.

We are an active family who enjoys running, cycling and swimming (including in the local outdoor lake), we love skiing and go twice a year (if possible). I go to the gym in the morning 3 times a week, play volleyball and badminton and my wife runs and cycles ever day and we welcome you to join us if you like that sort of thing.

We also enjoy quiet evenings relaxing watching a film, the kids go to bed a 8pm and we are in bed at 10pm, although, the kids generally sleep through anything as they have been conditioned from an early age to sleep through any parties we may have at the weekend.

We try to be green by recycling, not wasting food and we have a solar panel that meets all our electric needs.

My wife is a manager in the NHS, I run two business I am a Sports Massage Theropist and also a Driving Instructor. ( Obviously, you get discounted rates if you need either of these services).

If you are big kid like me you can enjoy the 4 meter span trampoline!

We buy food for 7 evening meals (we would ask you cook for everyone 1 or 2 evenings and the rest of the evenings we will do) and offer cold breakfast plus cold lunch at weekends, this will be £150 per calendar month (My wife's cooking is amazing, she has cooked for gluten free, dairy free and more! You can try one of her cakes when you do a viewing!). The £150 would cover the cost of the all the ingredients for all the above meals that we would buy in our weekly shopping.

The reason we do this is because firstly we think it's nice to share an evening meal with each other, secondly, it saves on space and energy cooking two meals a day.

We have a few of us are either intolerant to cow's dairy or gluten (Not anaphylactic so not going to die if we accidently eat it).

Please note that because this is a family house we will not accept anyone at short notice without getting to know them through meeting them and having references.
