I’m looking for a new flatmate to join the joint tenancy from October/November (exact date flexible/TBC) as my current flatmate is moving in with his partner.

I’ve lived here for almost 3 years, and it’s genuinely a lovely place that so I’m hoping to find someone who will enjoy it as much as I do!

📍 The flat & location

It’s a 2-bedroom, ~70sqm first-floor flat, just 8 minutes’ walk from Bromley South station, with really easy transport into London:

🚆 Victoria: ~18 minutes direct on the fast train
🚆 Blackfriars: ~30 minutes direct (or ~23 minutes on the fast service)
🚌 Great bus connections, including the Superloop
🛍️ Bromley High Street & The Glades are nearby, with pretty much everything you could need
🛒 Lidl, Waitrose, Little Tesco, Sainsbury’s and a larger Sainsbury’s all nearby
🎬 Vue Cinema: around 5 minutes away
🏋️ Plenty of gyms and other amenities within walking distance

The building only has 6 flats, mostly families, so it’s a really calm and friendly little community with lots of privacy. There’s also a large communal garden which is lovely and very rarely used - I’m probably the person who gets the most use out of it! 🌿

The flat also has its own large garage for storage, which is really handy for bikes, boxes, suitcases etc. Please also note this is a non-smoking building.

🏠 The flat

The flat was fully renovated when we moved in, including a brand-new kitchen and appliances, and has been well looked after since. It has a large living/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished throughout (the furniture is mine, not the landlord’s)

The room available is a good-sized double bedroom with:

- Space for a double bed, large desk, wardrobe, shelves and chest of drawers
- A large window overlooking the communal garden as well as a lovely feature round window
- Built-in cupboard

The room itself would come unfurnished, but the rest of the flat is fully furnished. If you really needed some furniture in the room, I’m sure we could work something out.

Rent: £875 per month

Bills are approximately £198 per month, covering:
- Water
- Council tax
- Electricity
- Gas
- Internet

So approximately £1,073 per month all-in.

I’m Cam, 29, a young professional working in marketing.

I work from home 3 days a week and in London the other 2, so I’m around the flat quite a bit but also have my own routine.

I’m from the south of France and moved to the UK 11 years ago - although all my friends tell me I’m very British for a French person 😂 (I do still love a croissant every now and then though!)

Outside of work, I love:

I’m not really a big party person and would much rather have a relaxed night at home than be out every weekend. I’m definitely a good mix of introvert and extrovert - I love hanging out, having a chat, watching something together or occasionally doing something social, but I also really value having our own space, routines and lives.

👀 Who I’m looking for

I’d ideally love to find another young professional with a similar lifestyle who is looking for a nice, relaxed and friendly home.

Someone who enjoys hanging out and occasionally doing things together, but also appreciates having their own space and routine.

I’m also looking for someone who is clean and considerate of shared spaces - the flat is well looked after and I’d love to keep it that way!
