Description
Affordable accommodation offered in Greenford – UB6 area. An excellent opportunity for FEMALE Home sharer looking to live in a beautiful spacious home.
We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Home share programme, where we find Home sharer's who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help, support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.
TRANSPORT
• 10-minute walk to Sudbury Hill tube station which is on the Piccadilly line.
• 7 to10-minute walk to several bus stops from the householder’s property.
HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely pleasant and bubbly Christian lady in her 80's of Caribbean heritage who lives in a well maintained 3-bedroom property in Greenford with a large garden.
This householder is very house proud and a person who would welcome a friendly, caring and compassionate home sharer who can provide some day-to-day support, companionship and most importantly overnight presence.
The lady has a very hands-on support network in place currently with her 5 adult children. Her family visit frequently and provide much of the support in terms of shopping, medical appointments, administering medication and utilities. They feel she would benefit from having a home sharer to provide companionship, and overnight presence along with some support with daily activities to make things a little easier for their mum when they have other commitments.
The lady’s routine consists of waking up around 06:00/07:00am and listening to an online prayer line with other members of her church community. She will spend a lot of her time washing clothes and doing light cleaning around her house before having a cup of tea and fruit.
After washing and getting dressed she may watch television, do some light exercises and talk with family and friends over the telephone. She spends a fair amount of her time reading her bible and likes to go for walks if the weather permits.
The ideal home sharer would be a female in her late 30’s who is a mature, kind, friendly and understanding with some life experiences; someone of Caribbean heritage so they are able to relate culturally would be ideal although we will consider all female applicants.
The home sharer should be clean and tidy as the lady is house proud and will spend time keeping the house tidy and be able to contribute to cleaning duties.
Will consider applicants that have the flexibility to work from home and office.
Ideally someone who will occasionally be able to cook or prepare an evening meal and sometimes share an evening meal together and prompt the householder to take her medication.
Someone who is clean, caring, understanding, kind and compassionate, tidy. Can offer some companionship.
Applicants must be non-smokers. No pets.
ACCOMMODATION
A large spacious 3-bedroom house with a ground floor living room, kitchen, first floor bathroom and small conservatory/dining area.
The home sharer may initially be provided with a single front bedroom which has a double bed, chair and wardrobe. There is a rear double bedroom overlooking the garden with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and chair which is currently occupied by the owner who may then shift into the double front bedroom. If the shift does go ahead the rear bedroom will be offered to the home sharer.
WiFi is available throughout the property.
