Double room in a two-bed flat – owner often away, ideal for a single person or couple

Large double bedroom available in my bright, well-kept two-bedroom flat in High Barnet, available now. I'm away a lot, so in practice you'll often have the flat to yourself, for the price of a room in a shared house.

Bills included. Couples welcome.

Off-street parking. 5 minutes walk to High Barnet tube and the high street.

Why it's short-term: I'm selling the flat, and it's currently on the market. Until it sells, I'd rather have someone enjoying it than leave it sitting quiet, which is why the rent is lower than you'd usually pay.

How long: there are no offers yet, so I'd expect it to be available for at least a 6 months and possibly up to a year. I can't promise an exact date, so this suits someone with flexible plans, such as between moves, saving for a deposit, on a work contract, or waiting for a purchase to complete.

When it sells: I'll let you know as soon as I accept an offer. Sales usually take 3-4 months from offer to completion, so you'd normally have plenty of warning.
