We have a cozy double room available near Twickenham Stadium for a single individual, preferably around our own age (38 & 43).
The room is a sunny double (on sunny days), there is a really comfy mattress on the bed (which has 4 storage drawers), a wardrobe, and a really cool built in desk and shelves that a previous housemate built, and has been painted by my fair hands... 😀
Shared kitchen, where you will have your own fridge and cupboard (this is a bit high up, but we have a stepladder), have all pots and pans, etc, if you have one or two things you are particularly attached to, we can make a little space, but kitchen space is generally limited
There's a shared living room (with dining table) and bathroom (separate toilet, so no need to cross legs if someone is showering - or enjoying a bubble bath).
Big garden - perfect for bbq-s or just general sunbathing in the sunnier months - if you like gardening, that would be a bonus! 😁 (I am a plant killer...)
We currently have super fast Virgin broadband in the house.
Located 8 minutes bus ride away from Hounslow Central station and Whitton train station, 10 minutes walk from Hounslow train station and Twickenham rugby stadium (also a massive Tesco). About 10-15 minutes by bus to West Middlesex Hospital, and about half an hour commute to Heathrow Airport.
Fairly quiet residential area (you'll get used to the airplanes, I promise!) with friendly neighbours (with the customary Diwali and New Year's fireworks, and the occasional party noise - so totally normal neighbourhood). Street parking is free, and there is a shared drive (the neighbour tends to park his work van at the bottom, but he is a reasonable guy, I'm sure he's open to discussing what works for everyone), so that's also an option...
The garage has space to store bikes, fishing gear, or similar, but wouldn't recommend for anything else.
We are quiet, but friendly people - on the introvert side, so we spend a fair bit of time recharging separately, but we do enjoy a chat, a glass (or bottle) of wine, sharing a takeaway (there's a really good Chinese nearby), Monopoly afternoon/evening...
We make a big fuss about Christmas and Eurovision, the first being a cozy, twinkly, week-long food fest, the latter being all about bbq, cocktails and friends (as well as the music).
There is also a furry resident of the feline variety. She is 100% indoors, so no need to deal with half eaten wildlife or fleas. 😉 She will feign affection for snacks, but otherwise fairly antisocial. 😉 Unfortunately she considers other cats (and smaller animals) as food, and we don't know how she is with dogs.
One of us smokes regularly, one just on occasion, but no smoking is allowed indoors.
One of us works from home 99% of the time, and the other is often on 4am starts at the airport, so a quiet environment is necessary most of the time.
Looking for someone who is friendly, quiet (meaning both mostly socialising outside of the house, and able to close doors, make tea/coffee, etc without waking up the street), but happy to socialise every once in a while; clean, tidy, responsible, and doesn't mind that the house isn't perfect.
We are child-free, and would prefer if you were also.
