AFFORDABLE accommodation offered in Ilford, Essex, IG1 area, excellent opportunity for a female homesharer who is looking to live in a spacious 4 bedroom mid terrace property.

We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help/support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.

TRANSPORT
• 15 min walk to Ilford station on the Elizabeth line and High Street shopping centre.
• Bus stops 2 min walk with regular buses. 10 min bus ride to station and shopping.

HOUSEHOLDER
An Asian lady in her early 80’s, live in a very spacious, well equipped 4-bedroom mid terrace house in Ilford, Essex. A recent bereavement has left her feeling lonely and isolated within her home. Is mobile within the house with the aid of a walking frame, is able to manage all aspects of personal care herself. She lives on the ground level, making moving around her property a lot easier.
She enjoys and spends a lot of time watching Bollywood soaps on television and doing word puzzles.
She has a great support network and her family feel having a homesharer would be a beneficial addition to the home.

The ideal homesharer would be able to speak Hindi/Punjabi is a kind, caring and a friendly female, is a mature 24+ year old, somebody who is calm, tidy, can provide some companionship but space when required and can help with some domestic household chores, making something for breakfast and cooking fresh vegetarian meals (rotis) for her evening meals is important, occasionally sitting down to enjoy a meal together. The householder and her family would feel comforted and reassured knowing there would be somebody at the property in the evenings and overnight.
Welcomes a non-smoker.
Someone who is nice, caring, understanding, kind and compassionate, tidy, and is flexible. Offer some low-level companionship at times but space when required.
Someone who will be able to help prepare evening meals.
Will consider applicants working from home.

ACCOMMODATION
A very spacious, 4-bedroom mid-terraced house on two levels (top level in use when family visit only). The lounge, downstairs bathroom, kitchen and dining area will be shared spaces with access to a nice garden/outdoor space.
The lounge has a television.
Good WiFi connection throughout.

The Homesharer will have the street facing a large double bedroom on the ground floor consisting of a single bed, wardrobe, other furniture can be provided which can be discussed with successful candidate. The homesharer will have shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, dining, utility and lounge and garden areas all on ground level.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The room is available October subject to DBS, Reference, Credit and ID checks and after an initial homesharer interview has been organised.
