A bright furnished double room available in a spacious, recently decorated 4th-floor flat near Norbiton, sharing with just me and Coco, my very friendly dog.

The room & flat

The room is £975pcm plus bills (currently around £250 per month) and will be available from mid-to-late October, depending on when you're looking to move.

The bedroom is being redecorated and will be furnished with a double bed, with space for additional storage.

The flat itself has loads of natural light and a lovely outlook, and because there'll only be two of us sharing, there's plenty of space. There's a large kitchen, big lounge/dining area, main bathroom plus a separate shower room, and a quiet rear-facing balcony.

We also have a small additional room which we can use as a shared WFH office and extra storage, so you don't necessarily need to work from your bedroom.

There's a lift to the 4th floor, a small garage for shared storage and permit parking available on the street.

Location

Norbiton Station is around a 5-minute walk away, with Kingston Station and Kingston town centre roughly a 20–30 minute walk. There are also excellent bus links nearby.

Who you'll be living with

I'm a small business owner who works in fitness and social media. I split my week between working from home, my business and a co-working space in Richmond, so I'm often out with some early starts.

I'm pretty chilled, friendly and easy-going. Outside work I'm into training and sport, cooking, good coffee, films, gaming, Lego, travelling, rugby and F1.

I'm moving in with Coco, who's a quiet, loving, house-trained and very cuddly dog. 🐶 You'd need to be comfortable living with a dog, but you wouldn't be expected to walk her or have any responsibility for looking after her. She's also used to and gets along with other cats and dogs.

The kind of house share I'm looking for

I'd like this to feel like a home rather than somewhere two strangers just pass each other in the hallway.

I'm independent and enjoy my own space, but it'd be great to live with someone who's similarly chilled, clean and respectful, and also up for a catch-up while making dinner, occasionally cooking together or just chilling in front of the TV.

I'm clean and tidy without being obsessive about it, and I'm not a big party person. Friends may occasionally stay over, but I'd always check you're comfortable with it first and would expect the same in return.

We can either share the cleaning of the communal areas or, if we both prefer, arrange a weekly cleaner for around £40/week.

Smoking/vaping is fine on the balcony, but not inside the flat.

Ideally looking for someone who wants to make this their home for at least a year.
