A loftroom on the second floor, with dormer windows practically the whole length of the room looking out to the back gardens and plenty of standing up space, will become available at the beginning of December. This is in a well-maintained house, shared by five people, who appreciate a homely feel, ample communal space. and a large garden.
The occupants:
- Three professionals and a mature student. The vibe is relaxed and friendly.
- We are looking for professionals or possibly mature students (Westminster uni, Northwick Park campus, is at 10' walk) who cherish a clean, tidy, welcoming home and consistently do their bit to keep it like this each day for each other.
- Live-out landlady, who responds quickly to any queries or problems, and who appreciates good and open communication with her tenants..
- Possibility of physical viewing or whats app video calls with one of the tenants as well as with the landlady
The accommodation itself:
- The bedrooms are individualized, with plenty of storage. In the double attic room, you have a double bed with underbed drawers, a blanket box, an in-built wardrobe, a desk and deskchair, a chest of drawers, an easy chair and small table and built-in shelves. The mattress is cleaned professionally before a new tenant moves in.
- The spacious open-plan kitchen-diner-lounge lends itself very well to socialising. It opens out on a large enclosed sunny garden with decking and lawn, and a small orchard, ideal for summer BBQs .
- With 2 fully equipped bathrooms, one on the groundfloor and one on the first floor, no queues in the morning!
- You will find all modern cons (broadband, central heating with thermostats in each room, laminate flooring, double glazed windows, washing machine, and in the kitchen 2 fridges, freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob. and storage space.
- A cleaner comes once a week to supplement the cleaning of common areas by the tenants.
- There is a garage at the end of a shared driveway for storage of bicycles as well as street parking in front of the house. With a Brent event street permit, (£10 for 3 years permit), you also can park on the street during event days.
Location, location! A green neighbourhood with :
- The choice of three tube stations and a great connection to Central London:
* 10’ from Preston Road Station and Northwick Park Tube Station (Metropolitan Line) and 10’ from South Kenton Station on the Bakerloo Line and Overground.
* Then: 30 ' to Baker Street and 35' to Oxford Circus (Metropolitan Line)
* All night tube from London Central till Wembley Park
- More locally you are a bus ride away from Harrow or IKEA and one tube station away from the London Design Outlet and cinema at Wembley Park.
Finances:
You are replacing one of the tenants during a fixed contract, which runs until the 28th of March, after which you come under a monthly roll-over contract or a new fixed period contract of 6 months.
All bills, also counciltax which is band E for the whole house, are included in the rent EXCEPT for any extra use of gas, electricity and water that is not covered in the generous utilities allowance comprised in the rent. (£350 per month of water, gas and electricity is included in the rent for the whole house)
