Large single room in large house

I’m looking for someone to take over my room in our family home in Woodford while I’m away travelling.

Available from mid-November until March, with the possibility of extending the stay. My return date isn’t completely fixed, so I’d prefer to agree on an initial end date in March, with the option to extend if needed. I’ll give plenty of notice if anything changes.

The room

The room is on the ground floor, completely separate from the other bedrooms, so it offers a nice bit of privacy. It comes with:

* Your own private bathroom with a toilet and shower
* French doors opening directly onto the patio garden
* Access to the shared kitchen and dining area
* Two dedicated fridge shelves and your own kitchen cupboard space
* Wi-Fi included, with good coverage throughout the house

Location

We’re in a lovely residential area of Woodford, just a 7-minute walk from Woodford station (Central line). Liverpool Street is around 29 minutes away by tube, making it convenient for commuting into central London.

The household

You’ll be sharing with my dad, who owns the house, and two other lodgers. Everyone is a working professional, generally out early in the morning and back in the evenings, so it’s a fairly quiet and relaxed household.

The kitchen is shared by everyone, and there’s a communal dining area just outside it. The upstairs living room is my dad’s private space, so it isn’t included in the shared areas.

We also have a weekly cleaner who helps keep the communal spaces tidy.

A quick note about our dog

I have a dog who will also be moving out while I’m away, but she’ll be staying in the upstairs living room until around mid-December. She won’t be using your room, and the room will be thoroughly cleaned before you move in.

She does shed hair, though, so this probably wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with dog allergies. We clean regularly, and she’ll be moving out completely by mid-December.

We’re looking for a tidy, respectful and considerate person who will feel comfortable in a quiet, working-professional household.
