Ashton-in-Makerfield is a friendly little town with plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes. There is also a leisure centre, library and a number of parks, including The 3 Sisters nature reserve. Haydock racecourse is very close by as is Ashton golf club.

There are excellent public transport links and Bryn train station is just a 15 minute walk from our house, with trains to Wigan and Liverpool. Trains to Manchester pass through Newton-Le-Willows, our neighbouring town, which is just 10 minutes away by car.

I have had a number of tenants over the years, both short and long term, including many foreign visitors staying as guests. Friends describe my home as very welcoming, comfortable and beautifully decorated. I also have a lovely south facing garden, full of flowers in the summer.
