Double room in Cheadle Village

I’m looking for a friendly, sociable housemate to share my 2-bed house in Cheadle Village. I’m a live-in landlord, but I’d love to find someone I genuinely get on with who’ll see the place as their home too, rather than just somewhere to rent a room.

A bit about me

I’m 33 and work full-time (9–5:30) on a hybrid basis, usually working from home a couple of days a week.

I’m pretty sociable and enjoy keeping active, going to the gym, running, heading to the pub and generally getting out and about. Equally, I enjoy a chilled evening in watching TV.

Ideally, I’d like to live with someone who’s up for the occasional drink, meal or evening hanging out, but who also has their own interests and appreciates personal space and downtime. A good balance of being mates and doing our own thing!

The house

It’s a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house in Cheadle Village, close to the Red Lion pub. There are direct buses into Stockport, and both Stockport and Gatley stations are a short distance away, with direct trains into Manchester.

The house has a shared living/dining area, kitchen, bathroom and a south-facing garden, perfect for BBQs in the summer.

I’ve recently moved in, so I’m still putting the finishing touches on things, including painting a wall in the living room, putting up artwork and furnishing the double bedroom with a wardrobe and drawers. Everything should be completed by the time someone moves in.

* Parking: On-street permit parking (permits can be applied for through the council)

Who I’m looking for

Someone friendly, considerate, reasonably tidy and easy to get along with. I’d love the house to have a relaxed, sociable atmosphere where we can have a laugh, occasionally hang out and both feel completely at home.
