Description
== The house ==
This is an end-of-terrace house on Broom Lane, near the McVities factory (so it occasionally smells like biscuits here).
- Furnished double room with ensuite. The room is currently occupied (as seen in the photos) but will be cleared before you move in, leaving just the king bed and wardrobe.
- Parking space
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Washing machine
- Shared living room
- Garden space out back with a raised bed for growing veg, and a possible space for bike storage
- Council tax band A - this isn't included in the cost of the room
== The area ==
There's lots to do in Levenshulme and it's well connected.
- Next to Stockport road with its bars, restaurants, groceries, etc
- Close to Highfield Country Park, Cringle Park and Greenbank Playing Fields
- 10 minute walk to an Aldi and a Tesco
- Near Jetts 24h gym and the Arcadia leisure centre (with a pool)
- Very frequent 192 buses between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly
- 10 minute walk from train station, with 3 services an hour running to Piccadilly (only takes 7 minutes)
- Next to the Fallowfield loop, good for cycling towards Didsbury or Chorlton
== Me ==
Writing about yourself is always a bit of an odd experience but when you come to look at the house we'll have a brew and can work out if we vibe or not :)
I'm 30, originally from Wiltshire, have lived in Manchester for the last 10 years and in Levenshulme for the last 3. I bought this house in 2025 and am now looking for someone to move into the other bedroom. I'm a software engineer and I work from home. I spend a fair amount of time at home but try and get out evenings and weekends as much as I can manage. I have friends over every now and then but not loads. Ideally I'm hosting around 2 parties a year. In my free time I'm into hiking, going to gigs and clubs, seeing films, going to the pub with mates, and I'll be restarting evening Spanish classes in the autumn. I mostly cook veggie food.
== You ==
These are some nice-to-haves, not all are essential, I'm much more interested in a personality fit than a specific list of traits.
- Similar age
- Have interesting hobbies :)
- Have lived in Manchester for a bit and have your own established group of mates/support network
- Will be up for sharing a meal or going for a pint every now and then
- Have a steady job, mostly working out of the house
Drop me a message if you'd like to come for a viewing.
