A large Lidl supermarket on Lower Broughton Road is about 8 minutes' walk, a Hong Kong-style cafe about 15 minutes' walk, and there is a Polish deli on Littleton Road just over a mile away.

Market Street and the Arndale are about 20 minutes walk away: buses run from Broughton Lane towards Shudehill and the city centre, and on foot it is about a 20-minute walk via the shortcut if you are a fast walker.
