Lovely furnished double room available in a relaxed and friendly home in Salford M6, with all bills included.

The room is fully furnished with a double bed and storage, and you'll have shared use of the kitchen, living areas, bathroom and WC. The house has broadband and everything you'd expect from a comfortable home, so you should only really need to bring yourself and your belongings.

The house is on a small, fairly secluded estate surrounded by a little bit of woodland, with Buile Hill Park immediately on the doorstep if you fancy some greenery or somewhere for a walk. Despite being tucked away, it's really well connected: buses into and out of Manchester city centre run every 5–10 minutes and take around 25 minutes, and the tram towards Salford Quays is around a 10–15 minute walk away.

There's also an allocated parking space available with the room, so it's equally practical if you drive.

I'm a friendly, sociable and fairly easy-going live-in owner. I work in hospitality and music, so my hours can sometimes be a little unconventional, but home itself is generally pretty relaxed. I'm equally happy having a chat and a glass of wine as I am disappearing off and doing my own thing, and ideally I'm looking for someone with a similar outlook.

This is a trans household and very LGBTQ+ friendly. You absolutely don't need to be LGBTQ+ yourself, but you do need to be completely comfortable living in a queer and trans-positive home.

You'll also be sharing the house with Jasper, the resident cat. He's very loving once he gets to know you, and his affections can generally be accelerated through strategic use of food. So you'll need to be comfortable living with a cat, and should probably accept that there's a reasonable chance he'll decide your room also belongs to him.

I'd particularly like to find someone who wants this to feel like their home rather than simply somewhere to sleep. Friends and occasional overnight guests are absolutely fine, within reason, and I'm not interested in creating lots of unnecessary house rules. Essentially, be considerate, clean up after yourself and we'll probably get along just fine.

The rent is £625 per calendar month including gas, electricity, water, council tax and broadband, with a £625 deposit.
