Description

Hi! I’m Charlie and I’m looking for someone to take a double bedroom in this two bedroom flat.

Area: Ordsall, Salford- super close to Manchester City centre, great transport links (10 mins walk to exchange quay, also 15 mins walk to Cornbrook) , 30 minute walking distance to Hulme, Castlefield, Deansgate, Trafford, and 10 mins walk to Salford Quays. 10 minutes walk to Aldi, 15 minutes walk to Salford Retail Park (big Sainsbury’s, charity shops, jd sports). The area is safe, quiet, and popular for young professionals.

Room: Huge bedroom in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom flat, comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, storage. Council tax band B. Top floor (3rd floor) but no lift unfortunately. Flat doesn’t face the road so it’s quiet. Rent is £547.50 pcm, bills will be around £150 each. The landlord is chilled and pretty hands off, but we have a great building maintenance guy who sorts problems out quickly. We also have a parking space and I don’t drive, so if you do u can have it! There is also outdoor bike storage in the car park, and a little communal garden/outdoor space. The flat is such a bargain for what it is!

Flatmate: I am a 26 year old post-grad student, artist, educator, I am doing a part time masters so I am still eligible to pay council tax so you don’t have to worry about it all falling on you. I am pretty busy and I’m out of the house most days so I like to come home to a chilled atmosphere. I am reasonably tidy (I always do my dishes 🧍‍♂️🙏) but I like the home to feel relaxed and comfy. I keep to myself a bit at home as I enjoy alone time, but also enjoy flatmate chats, pub visits, film watching when I’m in the mood. I’m not a party animal but I do occasionally like to go to club nights/festivals/have some mates round for drinks- I will always make sure that’s okay with you first and never do so on a work night!! It would be your home as much as mine so you would be welcome to do the same 🙏 I would love to live with someone who is easy going, respectful of boundaries, has a good sense of humour, but also fairly busy with a life outside of the house. It would be great if we could coexist but respect that we each have our own lives. My hobbies include: spending time at my studio space, running, knitting, learning Spanish, going to gigs, going to the cinema, reading, cooking. I’m vegan but don’t mind if you aren’t!
I’m trans, so want to live with either someone queer or someone who is an #ally. I also have a cat called howl, he’s very chilled and loves people so if you are a cat lover that’s a bonus.

If you think you’d be a good fit drop me a message and you can come see the flat and maybe we could grab a coffee/pint !
