Description
Hi, I'm Jake, and I'm looking for someone nice to share my house with.
I have a double room that is currently available.
I'm not in a hurry. I am more interested in finding the right fit. Hence the long rambling description. 😂
It's an unusual place... still partly work in progress, and whilst the house may look quite rough on the outside it is actually very nicely renovated on the inside and the room itself would be in beautiful condition.
I'm currently rarely at my house because my elderly parents in Scotland need a lot of support. but I'm still looking for someone who I would feel comfortable sharing with and who's looking for similar things from a living environment.
I'd describe the vibe as very peaceful and friendly(perhaps middle aged 😂)
I'm mid September my old lodger Izzy will be moving back to finish her studies at UofM after a year away. She's sociable and friendly and big fan of the outdoors and walking. I've got a spare double room available to the right fit.
I would prefer a mature student but this is not a deal breaker... someone wanting a place for a year or two max, rather than to settle longer term, I might consider someone professional for similar period of time, but that would put the cost of the rent up by around £30 as the council tax would go up.(all bills are included in the rent... Just for information It's council tax band C)
I work in the performing arts, my time is split between work/being with my partner in Leeds(she rarely comes here) and more recently I spend a lot of time in Scotland looking after aged parents. The house features a crazy big wild garden out back.(very much work in progress.... nature is perhaps doing most of the work here) We're sociable and friendly and enjoy preparing and sharing food when time allows but are also quite independent. It would be nice to have someone who would similarly enjoy a bit of sharing without feeling obliged. It's very important to me to keep a tidy ship so someone who is happy/enthusiastic about keeping things very clean and tidying/drying up as they go would be a good fit. Recycling is also important so someone who doesn't mind being thoughtful in that area would be great. We're not big fans of excessive alcohol consumption/boozy culture, but certainly not prudish and do enjoy the odd glass with food.
I may be quite slow replying to messages because I've got a lot on, but If you think you might be a good match, please message and tell us a bit about yourself and what you're looking for.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Cheers
Jake
