Bright Large Double Room | Near Walkden Station

A bright, spacious double room available in a comfortable three-bedroom home in a quiet residential part of Walkden.

This is my home rather than an HMO, and I'm looking for a quiet, clean and considerate professional who would like a comfortable and peaceful place to live. There are just three bedrooms in total – I occupy one and the other two are for lodgers – so even when fully occupied the house is shared by only three people.

The room is a good-sized double, furnished with a double bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside drawer unit and armchair. Bedding and a TV are not provided.

The house has lots of natural light, sanded wooden floors and has recently been redecorated throughout. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, together with a separate utility room with washing machine and second toilet. Upstairs there is a shared bathroom and separate toilet.

The kitchen has an oven, microwave and dishwasher. The two lodgers share their own fridge/freezer, while I have a separate one.

At the back is a very large, leafy garden backing onto mature trees, with lots of birds and squirrels. There is direct access from the garden onto the Loopline, which is great for walking, running or cycling.

The house is particularly convenient for transport. Walkden train station is around a 6-minute walk away, with trains to Manchester Victoria taking approximately 20 minutes. There are numerous buses from Walkden town centre, and the V1 and V2 bus services are around a 15-minute walk away.

Walkden town centre is within easy walking distance, with a large Tesco, M&S Food, The Range, numerous takeaways and other shops and amenities nearby.

There is also off-road parking.

I'm looking for someone who is respectful, tidy, fairly independent and enjoys having their own space. It's a quiet household rather than a party house, so it would particularly suit someone who appreciates having a peaceful home to come back to. I also expect to be away fairly regularly.

£650 pcm – all bills included, including council tax, gas, electricity, water, Wi-Fi and TV licence.
