🏡 Double Room Available – Friendly, Sociable House Share

A double bedroom is available in a friendly house share with a live-in landlord.

The room overlooks the garden 🌳 and has some built-in cupboard/storage space, but is otherwise mostly unfurnished, giving you the freedom to set it up in your own style. A floor bed can be provided if you prefer (see pictures).

The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac with free on-street parking if needed. There are also bus links and rental scooters nearby.

Viewings: Available from 16th October onwards.
Move-in: From 23rd November, although an earlier move-in from 16th November may be possible for the right person..

👋 The household

This is a live-in landlord house share, so finding someone who fits in well with the existing household is important.

There are currently three of us in the house, working in:

- 💻 Software development
- 💇 Beauty
- ⛵ Yacht design

We're friendly and sociable and will often chat, have dinner or do things together when everyone is around, but we all have our own independent lives as well. It's not a party house, but equally we're not a house where everyone hides in their bedrooms and never speaks.

It's an LGBT-friendly household 🏳️‍🌈 and we're looking for someone relaxed, respectful and easy to live with.

We're ideally looking for a working professional rather than a student-style house share.

Before agreeing anything, we'll meet for a chat so we can both make sure the house feels like the right fit.

The house has:

- Large shared kitchen
- Separate sitting room
- Conservatory with dining area
- Separate downstairs toilet
- Shower room
- Main bathroom with bath, shower and toilet
- Spacious garden 🌿
- Garage with some storage space
- Guest bedroom which may be available for visitors by prior agreement

The kitchen/house includes:

- Induction hob and cookware
- Two ovens — because one apparently wasn't enough 👨‍🍳
- Dishwasher
- Washing machine
- Tumble dryer
- Dehumidifier
- Fast Toob broadband ⚡

The main TV currently has access to Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime. You can't complain if I ever decide to cancel them though! 😂

A cleaner normally comes once a week to help keep the communal areas tidy. But you're still expected to clean up after yourself...

💷 Rent & bills

Rent: £650 per month

Rent is payable monthly by bank transfer from the date you move in.

Deposit: One month's rent (£650).

Rent includes:

- Council tax
- Gas
- Electricity
- Water
- Toob broadband
- Weekly communal-area cleaner

🙋 Who would suit the house?

There's no particular mould you need to fit, but you'll probably enjoy living here if you:

- Are friendly and happy to have a chat when people are around
- Are sociable, but don't want to turn the house into a nightclub 🪩
- Have your own hobbies, interests and social life
- Enjoy sport or other activities — although definitely not compulsory 🎾
- Are considerate of others and happy to keep communal areas tidy
- Can tell us at least one interesting fact about yourself!

We're looking for someone who wants a nice home and good housemates rather than simply the most conveniently located room.
