Characterful double room with a large wardrobe, desk overlooking the garden, available in a nicely furnished, owner-occupied Victorian home in the Copnor area of Portsmouth.
I am a working professional looking for one lodger, so the household would consist only of the two of us, together with my small dog and two cats. One cat is a Ragdoll house cat and the other is an outdoor cat. The room would suit someone who is comfortable living with animals and is looking for a calm, respectful home environment.
This is not a busy house share. I work from home regularly, as my work is mainly EU-facing, and I also travel occasionally. The house is well suited to home working, with excellent Wi-Fi and several desk or work areas available. I am looking for someone tidy, considerate and comfortable sharing a settled home.
The arrangement may particularly suit a working professional, interim, medic on a placement or fixed-term contract, or someone relocating to Portsmouth. International applicants are very welcome. I would also be happy to consider a postgraduate student, such as someone completing a Master’s or PhD, who would value a home environment rather than a typical student house.
The room is for single occupancy only. I am ideally looking for someone who would like to stay for between six months and two years. All bills are included, subject to reasonable domestic use.
There is unrestricted street parking and a bike shed.
