Description

Hi! My partner has recently moved out of the flat for work, so I’m looking for a new flatmate. This is a 2-bedroom flat, one for me, and one for the new tenant. The available bedroom is only for professionals who do not work from home.

The room was previously an office but is being converted into a comfortable double bedroom. A 2-door wardrobe will be arriving in the next couple of weeks, and the desk currently in the photos will be removed to give you more space, unless you'd like it to stay. Ideas are welcome, and if you'd want to add extra free-standing furniture, please feel free to do so.

Bathroom
You’ll essentially have the main bathroom to yourself, as I only use it if I have guests or occasionally for a bath. The bathroom has both a bath with an integrated shower, and useful cabinets (I'll keep using couple of shelves).

Shared Spaces
The living room and kitchen are shared. Space has been made in the living room, like shelving, where you’re welcome to keep books or decorative items. The kitchen is small but functional and a nice space to cook in. You’ll need to bring your own pans, bowls, and mugs, but cutlery is available to use. There’s also a dishwasher to make life easier. As you'll see when you come for the viewing, there's a balance ball available, and also a pull-up bar.

Bills
- Bills are included, though electricity is capped at a reasonable winter level (any excess would be shared).
- Important detail: I do not pay for TV licence, as it's not used in this household. But there's currently access to Prime videos which there's ample of choice unless you have your own memberships.
- I’m planning to bring in a cleaner once a month or bi-monthly to keep our home fresh and tidy, and we’d split the cost equally.

Location
The flat is in a great location:

Asda – less than 8 mins walk
Lidl – around 15 mins walk
Bedford Place (bars, pubs, restaurants) – 10 mins walk
Westquay shopping centre – 15 mins walk
Ocean Village – 25 mins walk (or a quick bus ride)
There are also gyms, parks, and a library nearby.

Transport
It’s a 10-minute walk to the train station at an easy pace (4 minutes if you sprint – tested already!). Bus connections are excellent, and if you drive, you may be able to rent an enclosed car park space from neighbours. There’s also a bike parking in the car park (you’ll need a good lock).

About Me
I work reduced hours and am a master’s part-time student. I enjoy a calm, welcoming home, also tidy and organised. I’m looking for a flatmate who values the same. I enjoy a friendly chat but also appreciate quiet time, especially around the non-exciting deadlines times. Outside of home, I like to be quite active doing several type of sports, but let's be real, I like a good series binge once in a while, especially on a really cold evening (when there's no deadlines approaching).
