The house is on Orchard Road in a fantastic location, just two minutes from the train station, ten minutes from Albert Road and around twenty minutes from Southsea seafront.
It’s a large four-bedroom Victorian terrace full of character and original features. Downstairs there are two living rooms, a separate dining room, a kitchen and a small lean-to conservatory, plus a great-sized summerhouse with electricity which is ideal in the warmer months for relaxing or working.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms and a large family bathroom with both a bath and a shower.
The room available is the largest bedroom in the house, positioned at the front with big bay windows that fill the room with natural light.
The garden is unusually large for Southsea and south-facing, meaning it gets sun all day until around 9pm in summer. Perfect for BBQs, relaxed evenings and making the most of good weather.
All bills are included, including council tax.
It will just be myself and you in the house, as I only rent out one room, so it stays calm, comfortable and homely.

I’m 32 and work as a Buyer for B&Q at their head office in Eastleigh. I split my time between the office and working from home, but my role involves a lot of travel. I also travel regularly for pleasure, so there are often periods where I’m away and the house is quieter.
I’m easy-going, sociable and always up for a chat or a drink, but equally respectful of personal space. I’m very active and love running, cycling, walking and paddleboarding, especially during the summer months. I also play the piano and guitar, which you’re very welcome to use.
I live with two indoor cats, Penelope and Mr Moo. They’re brother and sister and incredibly friendly, affectionate cats who absolutely love human company. They’re the type who will happily sit with you on the sofa, follow you around the house, and expect a good amount of fuss and attention. They really add to the feel of the home, so it’s important you’re a genuine cat lover who enjoys having cats around.
Very occasionally, if I’m away with work or travelling, I might ask you to feed them or give them some extra love. It’s nothing heavy or long-term, just small favours now and then, and they’re very easy to look after.

I’m looking for a like-minded, relaxed and tidy person to share my home with. You’ll be respectful, clean and happy living with cats. Shared interests would be great, but the main thing is that you’re easy to live with and treat the house like a home.
