This lovely house is situated in Apsley, close to Hemel Hempstead town centre with easy access to major road routes and 10 minutes walk to Apsley train station (30 mins to London Euston). Apsley is a bustling village with both small businesses and amenities but also larger chain stores all in its vicinity, The Grand Union Canal runs through the village and Shendish Manor golf course is also easily accessed.
I am a sociable, active professional with interests including singing, walking, travelling, doing my best for the planet (plant-based diet, compost, waste reduction etc.) and amateur up-cycling of furniture. I am easy-going, friendly and helpful. I am looking for a lodger who perhaps shares some of the above interests and/or has a like-minded attitude to life.
The property is Edwardian and the original flooring and other features have been restored since I have owned the house, giving character and a homely feel.
The room comprises of a double bedroom furnished with a comfortable double bed with new mattress, wardrobe with drawers, chest of drawers, curtains, and shelves. Previous lodgers have chosen any number of layouts with the last buying a desk to have in the room instead of drawers. The one before changed the curtains for example.
The bathroom (newly moved with all new fittings) is shared and there is a second toilet downstairs.
The dining room, kitchen, utility, lounge and garden are also communal areas.
There is on-street parking on the road outside the house.
