Double *air conditioned* room, spacious house

The Room:

Double, good sized room.

Currently in place is a double ottoman bed (under bed storage), chest of drawers. HDTV with fire stick. Desk and chair. Wardrobe is in the room currently flat packed but will be assembled soon.

- Modern bathroom with jacuzzi bath, heated mirror. Please note the bathroom is shared with myself though there is also a downstairs toilet.

- Decent sized garden
- Air conditioned bedroom: this is capable of heating and cooling so you can set your room temp to whatever you like (n. b cannot heat while the unit in my room is cooling or vice versa, though I can't imagine that is a likely situation!)
- Plenty of on-street parking and some parking bays, never an issue finding a space
-Shed available to park a bike if wanted

Includes all bills, including council tax, wifi (virgin media 350mbps), netflix, prime video, apple tv.

Please note I do not have any 'traditional' TV connection and no tv licence so you cannot watch live TV or bbc iPlayer. If you want to stream any live TV or use bbc iPlayer you will need to pay for a TV licence.

For any commuters, it's 10-15mins to cycle to the train station with excellent cycling infrastructure (cycle paths, underpasses, not on roads) and I can even provide a bike for use if wanted. Also a 10 minute cycle to lister hospital for anyone working there. Good bus routes with a stop nearby.

About Me:
Work as a Paramedic so shifts a bit all over the place. I'm a deep sleeper so you can go about your day relatively normally if i'm asleep from shifts, I'd just ask you don't play loud music etc but things like TV, cooking, washing machine are fine. Given the shifts you'll get a fair few evenings in the house to yourself too while i'm on night shifts.

Days off i'll either be gaming (in my bedroom) /relaxing at home/working on uni assignments for an MSc or out cycling, paddleboarding, at the gym or pub. I don't tend to have much in the way of events on at home but may have friends round occasionally (approx every 3 months) for board games and drinks, nothing wild.

FYI I am gay, and BF does visit and stay over (generally once a week). Happy to share with any gender/orientation.

I do have an indoor cat so I am very strict that no windows are to be opened - but as mentioned, you have AC for your room. Could consider fitting window restrictors to enable window to be opened a small amount if desired.


Looking for a quiet, clean, respectful housemate. More interested in finding the right person than just filling the room ASAP, seeing as I’ll be living with them. So would much appreciate some information about you on your profile - what’s your work, interests etc?
