VIBE
I’m on the lookout for someone who’s after a homey and chill space, being warm, easy going and friendly is a must as I don’t want my home to become a place where we’re only exchanging awkward Hi’s passing in the hallway. Tea/coffee and natter in the kitchen is perfect. Being clean, tidy, respectful etc are all essential
When you message, include an introduction with who you are, such as your, hobbies, work, interests, lifestyle and routine. I will message people back that feel a good fit for a video call before arranging in person viewings
SHORT TERM
I’m fairly flexible with stay time so just let me know your dates, a bit about yourself and what you’ll be up to in London. I can tell you if that works for me/if the room will be available
LONG TERM
The house is my home so I’m looking for someone who’s a really good fit with me and my lifestyle/daily routines. I’d also like a housemate who wouldn’t mind watering the plants/garden if i’m away (and even more of a bonus if you’d be cool with feeding my pet toads). I don’t work specific hours but they are mostly during the afternoon-evening. During the winter season I can be incredibly busy with work but during the summer I spend most of my time pottering in the garden or chilling in the woods. It would be nice to share space with someone who’s into something creative but thats not a dealbreaker
THE ROOM
Currently furnished with a single bed (but happy to put a double in there for a long term stay), side draws, wardrobe, chair, desk, lamp & rug. The room overlooks the garden
TRAVEL TIMES from my door to end station are roughly: (bus+train)
Liverpool street: 30-35 minutes
Canary wharf: 20-25 minutes
Tottenham court road: 35-40 minutes
Greenwich: 25-30 minutes
Shoreditch: 35-40 minutes
Highbury & Islington: 40 minutes
Waterloo: 40 minutes
Paddington: 40-45 minutes
PETS
No cats, sorry. I’m open to dogs but this would be on an individual basis. Other pets that have enclosures are fine
THE HOUSE
3 story victorian terrace with a super lush garden. 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms and It’s just me here so it feels fairly spacious. It backs onto allotments. The house is generally warm in the winter and cool in the summer by some miracle
LOCATION
My house is about a 4-5 minute bus ride to Abbey Wood station or a 15-20 minute walk through the woods (super idyllic). Belvedere mainline station is roughly a 7 minute walk away. The Elizabeth line is an absolute godsend so getting into central is really easy and fast. (Check: Abbey wood station to another central station on maps/journey planner)
The area: The woods are amazing + you can get tea for £1 at the little cafe!, living here is the perfect balance between nature and the city. I can easily cycle from the house along the river as well. The area is really quite and I feel safe walking back home late at night
There is a big Sainsbury’s next to abbey wood station and an Asda next to Belvedere station.
ME
I collect vintage things and old curiosities and own a vintage shop which means the house has a fair amount of antique furniture. Most of the time I will be either pottering in the garden or at the woods (cliche introvert hobbies)
I enjoy fashion, photography, artsy stuff, baking tasty treats and learning about my pet toads weird little ways
I attend various creative/performance events throughout the year and do attend kink events from time to time
