Sunny single Room in owners house

I am looking for someone to rent the spare room in my home. It is a large single, south facing room.

The room can be viewed now. Available from 1st September

Council Tax and Utility bills are included in the rent.

Easy commute to Medway Hospital or the Medway university campuses of Greenwich and Kent.

I am looking for someone easy going. Happy to fit in with my lifestyle, I don't keep regular hours, so don't mind if you don't either. I have a cat, Reggie, who loves being outside and is very happy around humans. I don't have any problems with people coming in late. I have never smoked and part of my work is as a singer, so non smokers please.

The room is furnished. Radiator. Single bed (I can supply bedding if needed.). Bedside table and light. Large wardrobe, shelving, chest of drawers. Small Formica table with flaps. Angle-poise light. A couple of chairs, one doubling as library steps. Dryer - for when you can't dry things outside. The bathroom is next to the room.

Shared kitchen, bathroom, sitting room, and garden. The garden wraps around three sides of the house and has a clothesline in one part. In the summer there is access to outside seating.

Kitchen has Washer/Dryer, microwave, 5 ring hob and Fan assisted oven.

There is a pulley washing line in the garden. Tons of pegs.

There is WiFi.

I don't eat meat; but I am not squeamish if some meat comes into the house.

I am in The Strand area (near the river).

There is on street parking here.

Gillingham train station is just under a mile from the house. 15/20 minute walk or there is a car park at the station if you prefer to drive.

There is a bus that will take you into the centre of Gillingham as well. But not very close to the station. That same bus goes onto the hospital. There is also a bus that goes to the university campuses and the Dockside Outlet centre. All buses go to Chatham.

I am 1.5 miles from Medway Maritime Hospital, walkable in around 30 mins, or there is the bus, mentioned above, that takes you right into the hospital grounds.

The Medway campuses of the Universities of Greenwich and Kent are also nearby. They are about a 20 minute walk away.

If you are into swimming; I am 5mins walk from The Strand Lido. Or if you prefer Wild Swimming, the river is the same distance.

There is a social club opposite the house. But it is a very quiet place.

This is a creative household, so you might find various projects going on in the garden or kitchen. I work in the arts so have no regular hours. I love gardening, watching TV detective programmes, and listening to Radio 4. Occasionally I will also play and rehearse music, but there would be plenty of warning about any of that.
