- House share £675 pcm
- Bishopbriggs
- G64
Description
My youngest is leaving for University in September and I have a biggish empty house with room to spare in Bishopbriggs (G64).
The availability is for a single semester, beginning September.
The available bedroom is a small double with its own shower room and there are 2 sitting rooms allowing everyone their own space to relax. The kitchen diner will be shared - it is large and I'm looking forward to spending less time in there:)
The rooms will suit someone who wishes to live in a quiet, safe area and likes their own space (though is also comfortable to say hello and chat and not be a 'stranger' in the house)
The kitchen is fully equipped and bedding and towels are available if required.
Bishopbriggs has many amenities and is a very convenient location.
It is a quiet area which is handy for both the city centre (including Strathclyde and Caledonian Unis) and the countryside. It is a 12 minute walk from the house to the city centre bound platform at the train station (if you don't rush) Followed by a 6 minute train journey into central Glasgow. It takes about 20 minutes on the bus.
It is possible to cycle into Glasgow along the canal (reaching the Maryhill area, leading on to the West End). G64 is not the best location for access to the University of Glasgow - unless you have a car. It is great for the other Universities.
Access to Edinburgh (50 minutes) or Stirling and beyond is easy from the train station.
My daughter will return home for some weekends. She is quiet and friendly (like myself). We are used to sharing parts of our house.
I have a preference for a female lodger and would not feel comfortable with a male using the space. It isn't suitable for couples or overnight visitors. (A different room with a sofa bed is available for occasional friend and family overnight visitors by agreement) Daytime guests are welcome anytime.
We have a cat called Daisy and a large garden. A willingness to feed Daisy if required would be appreciated.
Please get in touch if you are interested or have any questions.
