Cosy Southside flat, 4 mins from Queens Park St

I’m a woman in my 30s with a spare room to rent in my two-bedroom flat in the Southside of Glasgow.

Whether you’re coming to Glasgow to study, work or travel, you’ll have a cosy and comfortable place to call home. The room is a good-sized double, and you’ll also have full use of the bright, spacious living room, well-equipped kitchen and exceptionally clean bathroom. I spend a lot of my time at my parents’ house, just on the other side of Queen’s Park, which means you’ll have the flat to yourself most of the time. I’ll still be around, usually staying for a night or two every couple of weeks, but when I’m not there, you’ll have the flat and all its shared spaces to enjoy as your own.

The flat is in Govanhill/Queen’s Park, a really diverse and interesting part of the city with loads of excellent brunch spots, cafés, bars and a great sense of community. Queen’s Park itself is right on the doorstep and is a lovely place for a walk, with duck ponds, open green space and fantastic views across Glasgow from the flagpole.

There are also excellent transport links, making it easy to get around the city — whether you’re heading into the city centre for shopping, visiting Glasgow University, exploring Kelvingrove, or having a wander around the cobbled streets of Ashton Lane.
