Description
I have a double bedroom available to rent from now until the end of April in a two bedroom, semi-detached house in the Southside. Please read the full advert before messaging - sorry it's long!
The room has a double bed with memory foam mattress, desk unit, drawers, and a large wardrobe. There's also a mirror and hooks over the door, so plenty of storage.
There is a shared bathroom with a waterfall shower off the mains boiler. The shared living room has a smart TV, blinds, blackout curtains, sofa, two chairs, coffee tables and shelving units. The kitchen is modern with dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and cutlery etc, and there is an area with a small dining table and chairs.
The house has a driveway and unrestricted free parking on the street. There is a small front garden and a larger back garden with decking, astroturf and a shed available to use for storage. There is also access to the floored attic for additional storage if required.
The bills are currently about £70 for gas and electricity per month (although this will vary with use and the price rises), £14.50 for broadband per month and £118 for council tax per month (Band D). The internet isn't super super fast but it does the job.

The house is in Dumbreck near Pollokshields in the southside of Glasgow. It is a 4 minute walk to the nearest train station (Dumbreck) and then it is 5 minutes on the train to Glasgow Central station or about 15 minutes to Paisley Canal station in the opposite direction.
It is a 13 minute walk to the nearest underground station (Cessnock or Ibrox are just about equal distance), a bus passes along Nithsdale Road regularly into the city centre and the M77, M8 and M74 motorways are also close by so it is an ideal base for commuting by private or public transport.
Bellahouston and Pollok parks are within a 5 minute walk and the area is a quiet, leafy suburb of the city.

I'm the only other tenant. I work from home full time for the NHS, in Mental Health. I am friendly but generally quiet. I like to have a chat but I'm equally happy in my own space. An early night and a good night's sleep are very important to me!
It's a private landlord, who's been great. She will stop renting the house out after April.
About you:
My only real criteria is someone who is quiet and respectful. As I work from home full time I'd prefer someone who works out of the house, at least some of the time. I'd consider a post-grad if you are willing to still pay half the council tax (this would be a reduced rate for both of us). Vegetarian or vegan would be preferable but it's not a deal breaker. My landlord may accept a well behaved cat.
It's available immediately, hoping to get someone in for the start of November at least. I'll be doing in person views only.
Thanks for reading! Please get in touch letting me know about you and what you're looking for. I will try and respond to everyone but apologies in advance if that takes me some time to do
