Thornwood Road - Double Room in West End Flat

I’m looking for a new flatmate. There’s a spacious double bedroom and a separate office available in a fully furnished third-floor flat on Thornwood Road, a quiet street in Glasgow’s West End.

The flat is in a peaceful neighbourhood, and I’d like to keep it that way. I’m not against having friends over, but I’m looking for someone who enjoys a relaxed home environment rather than regular late-night parties.

You’ll have your own double bedroom and a separate office, which you can use as a workspace, study or whatever suits you best. I don’t use the office myself, so both rooms will be yours. We’ll share the bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen. I like keeping the flat clean and tidy, so ideally I’m looking for someone who feels the same way.

You can see the entire flat, including the available bedroom and office, in the photos. Please note that the photos were taken some time ago, and the bedding, desk and shelves belonged to a previous occupant and won’t be included. Otherwise, the flat is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need, including a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Rent and bills
The rent doesn’t include bills, which are shared equally between two flatmates. Based on current costs, the approximate monthly contribution per person is:

* Council Tax: £87.50
* Gas and electricity: £55
* High-speed fibre-optic broadband: £17.50

A little about me
I’m 37 and work as a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow (ARC). I moved to Glasgow from the Czech Republic in 2023. I spend quite a lot of time at work, so during the week we might not see each other all that often. That said, I’m friendly, easy-going and always happy to have a chat or do something together occasionally. I think it’s nice to have a friendly atmosphere at home while also respecting each other’s personal space.
