A furnished double room in a quiet, well-kept flat near Botanic Gardens. 15 mins from UofG. You’ll have your own bathroom right next to your room, plus your own storage room with a clothes rack, which works well as a walk-in wardrobe. The living room and kitchen are shared. The flat has an EPC rating of B, so it stays warm and heating bills are reasonable.

Rent: £700 per month. Bills included, it is around £770-780. Deposit: £800.

About me: I’m a PhD student in Politics at UofG. I care about keeping the flat clean and tidy and treating shared spaces with respect. I like a calm, private home. Occasional guests are absolutely fine, but I’d rather not have frequent visitors. I’m friendly and easy to talk to, and I’m happy to chat or do something together now and then, such as going to the cinema or going for a walk. Or if you are an international student, we can even travel to see some new places.

Who I’m looking for: Ideally a postgraduate student, because a flat of full-time students is exempt from Council Tax. Professionals are very welcome too, on the basis that you’d cover the Council Tax (with the 25% single-occupant discount applied).

My current flatmate is moving to London, so the room is free from 10 December, though the date can be adjusted. Once the landlord approves the new tenant, we’ll sign a new contract.
