Description
My housemate's visa has sadly expired and she needs to move back to the U. S.. We've loved living here and know we got really lucky with this place. I'm looking for a thoughtful roomate to take over her room here as I'm staying on.
Unlike the other flats we looked at (there were some stonkers!) everything here... just works. We've got a great landlord who's father is the handyman and always a message away.
The flat is located near Kelvingrove park, a few doors down from a small Sainsbury's, on Argyle street (above a restaraunt, which we cannot hear). We're about a 20 minute walk away from the university gym and pool, and about a 20 minute walk away from a Lidl.
Your room is fairly enormous and the larger of the two (though this does have the tradeoff of more traffic noise) and has plenty of storage. We have a huge, shared livingroom. The bathroom and kitchen are more compact but they have been finished well and the kitchen has a good amount of surface area to work in.
I'm really keen to find the right person for the flat. I'm not looking for a particular type of person (I expect to do some adapting of the place for your preferences!) but I am keen on some characteristics so our home is peaceful and restful for both of us :)
These are essentially that the new housemate: generally be considerate, have a desire to keep the shared spaces tidy and certainly clean, and (most importantly) has an understanding of their own boundaries and how to communicate these well. It's important to me that you get what you need and I that know what that is :)
On my side, I like my own space to retreat to and I will alternate between being chatty and being less social while I recharge. My current housemate has OCD and we figured out what she needed to feel comfortable here. I'm big on communication!
(My housemate will likely be around for the viewings so feel free to interrogate her about this!)
As for me I sing and play guitar (which could be annoying for some!) and I write. I'm definitely a geek at heart. If you're into your fitness do let me know. It's not essential, I just find it a little easier to motivate myself when my housemate is also active!
LGBTQ+ friendly. Will most likely be someone over 25 (as they have experience of living with peope!).
Looking forward to hearing from you. Bonus points if you're a little bit weird! :)
Council tax C
Total bills approx £200 per person (incl utilities, 1000 mbps internet with virgin, and council tax)
