Description
Female flatmates preferred, thank you.
Shawlands - the heart of the southside and for me, the best area to live in Glasgow (c'mon West End-ers, fight me on this, I have my arguments ready :D ). I came to Glasgow 2 and a half years ago as a student and I got to live in Shawlands by chance. Life took an unexpected turn for me as I was given an opportunity to stay in Glasgow and I got to stay in Shawlands by choice!
There are excellent bus and train connections to the city centre, University of Glasgow, Strathclyde University, city centre... there are two train stations within 10min walk and the train to Glasgow Central takes 6-12min. The bus stop is right in front of the building.
The flat has 3 bedrooms, big bright living room, well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom. There is a lot of extra storage space available to use too. Please note that this is a mansionette type of flat, so the internal staircase might not be suitable for people with restricted mobility. The room features a single bed (bed lining, pillow and duvet included), a desk and a chair, a lot of shelving storage space, a hanger unit, and a laundry basket. Viewings available by request. The rent does not include bills which are around £300 a month and are split between all the flatmates. The bills include electricity, wi-fi, council tax and factoring fees. The apartment is council tax B.
A little bit about myself: I work in Learning and Development after graduating from my Masters in Adult education at the University of Glasgow. I am a positive and friendly person and would ideally prefer someone who likes to engage in occasional social activities together, but I also have a busy life so I don't expect a lot from my side either. My partner lives with me too. The other flatmate (moving out in the end of September) is one of my closest friends in Glasgow and she is a really kind and fun person. We are welcoming people, especially if you enjoy dinners with a glass of wine and homemade meal (she is an excellent cook, I mostly do the dishes :P).
An ad will never cover it all, so feel free to ask anything that might interest you.
